In Central Alberta, the average all residential selling price decreased 7.8% to $295,000 compared to June 2018 and decreased 6.34% compared to July 2017. Red Deer’s single family home average prices decreased 6.16% compared to July 2017 to an average sale price of $342,500. The inventory of single family homes increased in Red Deer by 9.74% for July 2018 compared to July 2017 with a total of 552 and number of sales for Red Deer single family homes sales decreased by 6.89% in July 2018 compared to July 2017. Duplexes/ townhouses in Red Deer average prices increased by 2.83% in July 2018 compared to July 2018 and sales increased 72.7% for July 2018 compared to July 2017, while the inventory went up 1.7% for this time period. The condo apartment selling price decreased 13.13% for July 2018 compared to July 2017 and sales increased by 25% for July 2018 compared to July 2017 while the inventory went down 2% for the same time period.
